Meet Laura, our brilliantly talented sales manager for the UK and Ireland who has one of the cutest dogs we've ever seen!
Who’s in your family?
My mum and stepdad, my dad and stepmum, 3 sisters and of course my wonderful partner and our little pup, Teddy.
Describe your family in one word
Fun!
Share your favourite memory with your family
My favourite memory is teaching my youngest sister to ride a bike, she was super proud when she finally got going all by herself! Now she’s growing up into a wonderful, smart, kind 15-year-old and I love that I helped teach and mentor her throughout her childhood.
Tell us a family tradition that’s unique to your clan
A big January family party is always held at my great aunt’s house. She has a wonderful sandstone home that all the cousins used to play hide and seek in. Now that we’re all grown up, it’s great to still make great memories in the same house that we all used to play in. Despite being almost 30, I still get sat at the ‘kids’ table!
What’s a movie that you and your family love?
We love Elf! Our family are BIG when it comes to Christmas and we love spending December having cosy nights in with lots of snacks, laughing to Elf. I think we all know every word in the movie!
What’s the funniest thing your child has said?
The funniest thing my younger sister has said was when I told her I was getting a new house phone. She looked at me, puzzled, and said what is a HOUSE phone? She was so surprised that there used to be such a thing as a communal house phone!
Do you have any pets? If so, introduce us!
Yes! I have the cutest little lhasa apso dog called Teddy.
What is your pet named after?
He is named after our family’s favourite football team, Rangers FC, who are nicknamed the Teddy Bears.
Tell us 3 things you’re into
Cooking, walking, and picnics at the park with my boyfriend and little dog.
What are your tips for staying connected during a pandemic?
Walking and talking with friends really helped me stay connected during the pandemic. Whether it was in person or on the phone, it was good to get outside for fresh air while catching up with loved ones.
Complete this sentence: This year I want to reconnect with
Exercise! I love running and going to the gym, although it’s sometimes easier to curl up on the couch and watch TV. This year I’m going to try being more active and get out running again.
Tell us why
Exercise makes me feel happy, alive, and energetic!
What’s your favourite quote?
I’m Scottish, so my favourite quote is the Scottish phrase: “Lang may yer lum reek!” Meaning may you live long and stay well.
